Kodi® media center is an award-winning free and open source cross-platform software media player and entertainment hub for digital media for HTPCs (Home theater PCs). It uses a 10-foot user interface designed to be a media player for the living-room, using a remote control as the primary input device. Its graphical user interface (GUI) allows the user to easily browse and view videos, photos, podcasts, and music from a harddrive, optical disc, local network, and the internet using only a few buttons.

The Kodi application is a media player that allows users to access and play their own content from various storage locations, such as local or remote storage, DVDs, and Blu-Rays. It also has the capability to install third-party plugins that may provide access to freely available content from official providers. However, the use of these plugins to access illegal content is not endorsed by the Kodi team.

The Estuary skin is the new standard for Kodi and is designed to be fast and user-friendly. It is optimized for use on larger devices, such as phones and tablets with a screen size of 5 inches or more. It is not recommended for use on smaller phones.
