Kore is an application that allows you to control your media center with ease. It acts as a remote for your media center, allowing you to see what is currently playing and control it using familiar playback and volume controls. You can also manage your current playlist, view your media library, and even add new media items to your library. Kore is compatible with Kodi 14.x "Helix" and higher, as well as XBMC 12.x "Frodo" and 13.x Gotham.
Kore offers a variety of features, including the ability to start playback or queue media items on Kodi, stream or download media to your local device, and send YouTube, Twitch, and other videos to Kodi. You can also manage live TV channels and trigger recordings on your PVR/DVR setup. Additionally, you can navigate your local media files and send them to Kodi, change and sync subtitles, and switch the active audio stream. Kore even allows you to toggle full screen playback in Kodi, trigger clean and updates on your library, and send text directly to Kodi.
Kore is fully open-source and released under the Apache License 2.0. This means that anyone can contribute to its development by visiting the GitHub page for code contributions. In order to function properly, Kore asks for certain permissions, such as storage access for local file navigation and downloading from Kodi, and telephone access if you want to pause Kodi when an incoming call is detected. However, Kore does not collect or share any information with outside sources.
