Google Arts & Culture is an application that allows users to access the treasures, stories, and knowledge of over 2,000 cultural institutions from 80 countries. It serves as a doorway to explore the art, history, people, and wonders of our world. The app features various tools and features that make it easy for users to discover and learn about our cultural heritage. One of the highlights of the app is the Art Transfer feature, which allows users to take a photo and transform it with classic artworks. Another interesting feature is Art Selfie, where users can discover portraits that look like them. The Color Palette feature allows users to find art by using the colors of their photo, while the Art Projector feature lets users see how artworks would look in real size. The Pocket Gallery feature allows users to wander through immersive galleries and get up close to art, while the Art Camera feature allows users to explore high-definition artworks. The app also offers 360° videos and virtual reality tours, allowing users to experience culture in a whole new way. In addition to these features, Google Arts & Culture also offers the ability to explore by time and color, allowing users to travel through time and see the rainbow through art. The Art Recogniser feature is also available at select museums, where users can point their device camera at artworks to learn more about them, even when offline. The app also offers more features such as guided tours curated by experts, the ability to save and group favorite artworks into galleries to share with friends or students, and the option to find museums and exhibitions near you. Users can also subscribe to receive weekly highlights or favorite content updates and use the translate button to read about exhibits from around the world in their language. To use these features, the app requires certain permissions such as location, camera, contacts, and storage. These permissions are used to recommend cultural sites and events based on the user's current location, recognize artworks and provide related information, allow sign-in with a Google account, and access artworks and related information while offline.
