More About CodeRED Mobile Alert

Thousands of public safety organizations across the United States and Canada use the CodeRED community notification system to initiate emergency notifications. The CodeRED Mobile Alert app enables subscribers to receive these notifications directly to their personal cell phone whether at home, on the road, or traveling around the country. Alerts are initiated by authorized public safety officials to deliver location-based notifications and are not issued by OnSolve or its staff.

This application provides free alerts for emergency, general, and missing person situations. These alerts are only available if the public safety agency in your current location is subscribed to the CodeRED service. If your city or state is not currently subscribed, you can contact your local public safety organization to request that they subscribe to this service.

In order to receive these alerts, it is important to enable location services on your phone. It is also important to note that your app account and the account you create for your community's CodeRED system are not associated with each other, so you must create separate accounts.

The CodeRED Mobile Alert app also offers a complimentary 30-day trial of the CodeRED Enhanced Weather subscription, which automatically alerts subscribers in the US of severe weather. This subscription is optional and costs an additional $0.99 per year, but it is not required to receive emergency, general, and missing person alerts.

In addition to these alerts, the app also allows users to view local radar footage from the past hour and satellite imagery from the previous 24 hours. This can be helpful in staying informed about weather conditions in your area.
